Customer Service was Phenomenal

My husband is a great handyman but I still sought a kitchen renovation expert and don't regret it

When your kitchen design is a constant reminder of the 1980's, it's time for a kitchen renovation. But with so many modern styles, products and designs to choose from; where do you start? Even if you think you know what you're doing, sometimes it's best to arm yourself with as much knowledge as possible - but leave the elbow grease to the experts.

"My old kitchen was an 80's disaster. It was really ugly!".

Cassy had no attachment at all to her old tiny kitchen with its lack of storage, skinny benches and peach timber laminate. Her husband is very handy himself so a DIY option would’ve been the obvious choice, but even he recommended seeking a kitchen expert.

After intense research across numerous websites looking at kitchen designs, colours and hardware, Cassy sought recommendations through word of mouth. Her husband then drove by a few kitchen builders’ premises when he saw the familiar Unity Kitchens sign and popped in. He was impressed. Mick was professional and was genuinely interested.

Mick didn’t mind when Cassy didn’t like some of his ideas. She’d come armed with different designs from other builders who had created layouts based on her own ideas. But Mick was able to give her alternatives to her ideas and created the most user-friendly and functional space using visuals.

"Customer service was phenomenal. Mick was very patient."

With all the research, Cassy had her heart set on a shaker cupboard for all her cabinetry, but soon realised it was going to throw her budget into a spin. With Micks’ guidance, she agreed to use the shaker only up the top of the cupboards as a feature piece making it much more economical. He also managed to factor in extra storage into the island bench through creating an L-shape seating area  – a feature she, and her husband, would never have considered otherwise.

"Mick came out and checked it was all to standard. He went above and beyond - even providing offcuts to replace a piece of cabinetry that I had scratched!"

Compared to doing it themselves, the process was much less stressful, better value for money, great quality workmanship, and, most importantly, was completed in a reasonable timeframe.
